KAHU represents licensed health and life insurance agents, consultants, and brokers who serve the health insurance needs of employers and individuals.

As part of our mission, we strive to preserve the freedom of choice.  With the August recess in full swing, there are many district and town hall meetings being held all over the state.  It is our duty, as members and representatives of our field, to show up at these meetings and be heard about sensible health care reform.

On August 26, 2009, more than 3,000 of our neighbors attended the town hall meeting, with Rep. Kevin McCarthy, at the Icardo Center on the campus of Cal State Bakersfield to discuss an issue at the heart of our kitchen table discussions – the future of our health care.
